Future Write

Hi. My name is Zoe, and I am 33. I currently live in San Francisco, California with my first child Eric and gorgeous husband Matt. I like to cook, swim laps and exercise, spend time with my family, vacation to our beach house in the Caribbean, and do my work. I designed my house, and we have a state of the art kitchen. We have walk-in closets, and everything is nice and clean. The bathrooms are big, and the showers have really good water pressure. I can afford all this because my husband is successful and I co-founded and operate an environmentally green architecture and interior design firm.
I graduated high school from The Bishop’s School, and I continued on to college at Berkley, where I did my undergraduate degree in design. I alternated interning at Steelcase and traveling to Asia to get inspiration for my work the year after my undergraduate degree was completed. Asia was amazing. I spent a month there, and I came back with lots of new ideas and even a few new Chinese words and recipes with ingredients I didn’t even know existed.
The Steelcase internship helped get me gain acceptance into MIT, where I did graduate work in architecture. After that I got a job at a major architecture firm where I worked for about four years, specializing in modern, high-tech houses, and met lots of eccentric, cool people. Myself and two others (probably my best friends from work), started our company just this year, and we are very excited to get it going.
I drive a Toyota Prius because I care about the environment, and I really do NOT want my great grandchildren to be completely wiped off the face of this planet becuase of stupid people who drive enormous Hummers and SUV's that go like 3 miles a gallon.
I plan to have two more children, preferably girls (I already have the names picked out - Ava and Savannah), and make a lot of money while having fun doing it. A well laid out space or floor plan makes me happy, and I love my job.
I don’t have much time for anything in between work, family, and staying healthy, but I have started scrapbooking, and I brought out all the pictures from my childhood and put them all in albums, and it brought back a lot of fond memories.
But maybe my fondest memory from the last twenty years is probably my wedding and honeymoon (we had our honeymoon on a cruise around the tropics). The eighth grade reunion was fun too because a lot of people changed a lot, but a lot of people also stayed almost the same. I still keep in touch with some of my middle school and high school friends, and the people I have known since I was in kindergarten even.
I love my life, and I love living it. I have mostly made the right choices, and it has paid off.
:)
